Mario da Cruz brings over 20 years of experience in marketing research and research-based consulting. At different times of his career, he focused on qualitative research, statistical modeling, marketing, account management, operations management, and developing new corporate functions. Mario believes in a holistic approach to helping clients understand their market landscape and collaborative interaction to work with stakeholders in their organizations. He helps clients to focus research on enhancing their business, and he facilitates the interpretation of information in order to inspire creative business planning. Prior to Blueberry, Mario launched his career at TNS, where he helped clients in many industries, including technology, services, consumer products, and pharmaceuticals. Janet Fisher-Hughes has designed, managed, and analyzed results of complex marketing research studies for some of the nation’s largest institutions to aid them in developing and launching new product lines and to guide them in enhancing their current product and service offerings. Her clients have included a number of major consumer products manufacturers, financial institutions, consulting firms, utilities, and governmental organizations. She has broad experience surveying a wide range of audiences (consumers to high-level business executives) across a variety of methodologies (telephone, internet, mail, and in-person), and geographies (North and South America, Europe, Asia). Janet believes that to gain a true understanding of customer needs and motivations, one must use a variety of qualitative and quantitative techniques. Payal Kondisetty, Ph.D., has a wealth of experience in survey and social science research, with special expertise in research design, data interpretation and the management of large datasets. Payal has worked as an independent marketing research consultant and a Senior Project Director at GfK Custom Research (Arbor) in Media. Avishan Amanat has 10 years of experience in sensory and consumer research. She built Blueberry’s descriptive and discrimination research division for foods, beverage and personal care clients. Previously, Avishan worked at Pepsi-Cola supporting qualitative and quantitative research needs for domestic, international and innovative products. Kristen Robeson is a RIVA-trained moderator with a strong marketing background. Kristen has the ability to cull deep and meaningful insights and guide successful decision-making. She uses creative and innovative techniques to help consumers articulate perceptions, opinions, beliefs and attitudes about brands, products and sensory attributes. Lauren Yourshaw brings a holistic perspective to the consumer experience, combining marketing, sensory science, and neurological foundations of behavior. Although she has a strong background in quantitative methods, Lauren chose to concentrate on qualitative research at Blueberry. Previously, at the Monell Chemical Senses Center, Lauren studied how sensory preferences develop and their implications for healthy eating habits. As a Senior Sensory Scientist at IFF, she guided product development at some of the world’s largest CPG manufacturers. Lauren earned an M.S. in Marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, in addition to a B.A. in Neuroscience from Franklin and Marshall College. Lisa McGurk believes the most important metric for a business is the value it delivers to its customers. Fulfilling a customer’s needs, at a profit, is the key to success, and marketing research is at the heart of understanding and creating customer value. Lisa’s perspective comes from her blended background of client side, supplier side and academic background. Lisa has ten years of experience in the food industry as a marketer and researcher. Before Blueberry, Lisa was Marketing Manager for Rita’s Water Ice, where she implemented marketing programs, including new product introductions. Beth Logan came to Blueberry from Kraft Foods, where she held a number of research positions over 17 years, including marketing research, sensory, product development and nutrition/regulatory. She is a strategic problem solver with expertise in health and wellness. Moreover, she uses her client-side experience to consult with CPG client teams and ensure that they get the actionable guidance they need. Bevin Hubsch has broad experience in marketing research, product testing and sensory research. Her background allows her to take a holistic approach, understanding both the product and marketing perspectives. Bevin began her professional career working closely with sensory professionals in designing consumer affective tests. In this role she developed an appreciation for the exacting protocols required to assure reliable results from product testing. To this day, Bevin’s clients are comforted by her acute attention to detail. Bevin holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Gwynedd-Mercy College.
